  • It’s less expensive.

When we minimize our overhead expenses, we pass those savings directly onto you.

Also, without the added pressure of sales-focused arrangements and merchandise showrooms, you can actually receive the service you want, at the price you’re promised. No emotional overspending.

    It’s less stressful.

We don’t want you to worry about organizing appointment times, driving across town, finding just the right parking spot, or even worrying about “did we bring all of the right forms and paperwork with us?”

At Branch and Pyre, we want you to be able to make arrangements anytime, from anywhere, 24/7.

    It’s less complicated.

We’ve found that more people are comfortable conducting business online than ever before, and that includes funeral service.

Also, the typical “bricks and mortar” style of commerce doesn’t really fit our simplified business model. We truly believe that arranging a simple cremation also deserves a simple arrangement process, and that’s why we are Winnipeg’s first completely online cremation care service.

  • At a time of death, the first thing we ask our client family to do is to call our office to speak with a Branch & Pyre care team member.

We are available 24/7 to take your call at 1-204-952-7741.

  • Branch and Pyre is a direct cremation service, which means we don’t offer “viewing” or visitation. We’ve found that many families today are content to say their final goodbyes to their loved one privately, whether that be at home, or at a hospital/hospice setting just prior to cremation, instead of at a crematorium.

  • We don’t. We decided early on to focus on what we do best, and let families choose to say goodbye in a way that suited them best. Many families today are opting out of using a traditional funeral home for their memorial service, and instead look to family and friends to help create something meaningful, whether that’s a private at-home gathering, connecting online, a Scattering Ceremony, or at a Celebration of Life event. Families can also arrange to have a religious service with the urn present through their local community church, without funeral home involvement.

  • Once the cremation arrangements have been made, and the related legal forms have been filled out, you can expect to receive your loved ones’ ashes returned to you within seven to ten days.
