David Lindsay Kay

July 10, 1954 - September 23, 2025

David (Dave) Kay passed away after a brief but courageous battle with cancer, on September 23, 2025 at the age of 71 years old.

He was predeceased by his mother Margaret Morley, brother Robert Kay (wife JudyLynn and daughter Teena) and nephew Tyson Kay (Cathy).

He will be lovingly remembered by his brother Alexander Kay (daughter Erin), children Bryce Kay (Lexie), Shaylene Janzen (Dave), stepdaughter Alicia French (Rob), his seven grandchildren, our mother Cathy Kay and his numerous friends.

David was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He grew up in the St. James area and was often found outside biking around the city with friends or on adventures. He was known to his friends as 'cricket'. David passed on his love for the outdoors to his children through many camping adventures, visits to Kenora, Ontario, and tobogganing.

David was an extremely hardworking individual who lived by the phrase, ‘if there is a will, there is a way’. He loved the outdoors, dogs, Sudoku, having a beer with his friends, and having time with his children and grandchildren. David’s bright blue eyes experienced a lot in life and continued to shine, right until it was time for them to close for the final time.
