Ronald (Ron) Bruce Harvey Stewner

October 19, 1953 - July 16, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ronald Stewner on July 16, 2025.   

Left to mourn his passing is his daughter, Simmington  (Murray) and son, Gregory (Victoria). Grandchildren, Meadow, Aden, Isobel and Hayden.  Also left to mourn are brothers, Perry (Shelley) and Kim (Coleen); sister-in-law, Michele. 

Ron will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews cousins and friends.   

Ron was predeceased by his parents Harvey in 1996 and Mary (Aurise) in 2021 and his youngest brother Lee in 2016.

Ron was born on October 19, 1953 at the old Grace Hospital on Arlington St. in Winnipeg. Growing up the family moved to Regina where Ron enjoyed playing hardball, fishing and hanging out with his friends. Next the family moved to Saskatoon, where he continued his education and played a lot of hockey. Being the oldest of four boys Ron taught his younger brothers a few things, how to ride bikes, play baseball, swim and hockey. The family eventually moved back to Winnipeg where Ron attended John Taylor Collegiate.

Ron started his working career with his father’s business of H&S Refrigeration, later working for Ready Foods Ltd. and then he found his passion for long haul truck driving with Reimer Trucking for 15 years until his retirement. Ron also played slo-pitch ball and getting to know all those that played along side of him.

Ron, your family loved you and we hope you have found your peace. Give mom, dad and Lee a hug.  Cheers
