Barbara “Barbi” Lynne Boult
August 4, 1946 - July 6, 2025
Barbara “Barbi” Lynne Boult (Coiner) 78, passed away peacefully in her home, on July 6, 2025.
Barb will be lovingly remembered by her children Scott (Jolene), and Sarah (Michael), and grandchildren, Emma, Grayson and Owen. She also leaves her sister Diane Sparrow (Bob) and extended family.
Barb was born and raised in Winnipeg, MB by Mary Coiner (Chmara). She often spoke fondly of growing up on Manitoba Ave. with her cousins nearby. Barb graduated from the University of Manitoba and was an educator with the Winnipeg School Division. She was an exceptional teacher who loved her work fiercely and the people she worked with, especially the students, and they her. It was not uncommon for former students to approach Barb many years later and tell her so. She recognized and remembered everyone.
Barb loved the Arts. Her greatest passion was dance. Barb danced at Rainbow Stage, proudly performing the role of Anybody in Westside Story, and was a professional dancer with the School of Contemporary Dancers. She also performed at the Hollow Mug for many years and continued her love of dance with “The Girls at Dancing”, who provided a lifetime and lifeline, of inspiration, friendship and movement.
Barb was renown for her fashion sense; if you know the Corydon/Osborne area, chances are you’ve encountered this blonde bombshell going about her day. She was meant to live in New York, or near an ocean; she loved the glamour of city life but her heart was at the beach. She enjoyed traveling independently to Mexico throughout her later years, and Winnipeg Beach with her grandkids, who were her pride and joy.
