Eleanor (Ellie) Jones

September 13, 1950 - April 1, 2025

Passed away peacefully in Winnipeg after a short battle with cancer, at the age of 74. Born in Canarsie Brooklyn to the late Benny Jones and Rosemary (Brown) in 1950.

The family moved to Montreal, Quebec in 1964 where she married, raised a family and pursued a degree in Social Work at McGill University.

Eleanor is survived by her daughter Celia (Karl) Keys, son Wesley Korona and grandson Josef Keys. She also leaves behind sister Judie Worrell, brothers Craig (Ela) and David Jones as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by sister Linda Price and niece Kimberly Price.

Ellie, as everyone called her, will be fondly remembered for her generosity, quick wit and warm hospitality, her house was always filled with laughter and love. She also threw a mean New Years Eve Party, December 31st her house was the place to be.

At Eleanor’s request there will be no viewing or services.
