Iris Anne Otte

April 27, 1960 - January 2, 2026

Iris Anne Otte passed away peacefully on January 2, 2026 at her home in Winnipeg, Manitoba at the age of 65 years.

She was predeceased by her father Leo Otte (at age 65) and her mother Hendrika Otte (at age 92).

Iris will be lovingly remembered by her children, Shyn, Tyrone, Myrtice, Skye and Zulema, and seven grandchildren. She also leaves behind her brothers Leo, Patrick, Ian, Rene and Bruce, sisters Odette, Nadina, and Monique, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Iris was born and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan, went to school at Miller High School, and was a loving family member with her parents and siblings, her children and grandchildren, and other relatives. She believed deeply in love as the greatest virtue.

The family especially thanks the affected family members and the loving people of Canada that welcomed newlyweds Leo and Hendrika into Canada from Holland after WWII, where they raised their strict Roman Catholic family from birth.

She will always be in the hearts and minds of those she graced. A private cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life Service will be announced at a later date.
