He was predeceased by his brother, Robert, and his parents, Clarence and Marion Larson.
Larry was born January 9, 1953 in Spiritwood, SK. He was active and enjoyed sports, earning awards during his younger years of participating in track and field and baseball. His sense of humour and love of the outdoors allowed for lots of activity growing up on a farm.
Larry spent his early adult years in Calgary and Vancouver areas. In his mid twenties, Larry experienced a great change of direction of his life. He moved to Moose Jaw to attend Aldersgate Bible College where he met his future wife, Carolyn.
During his years of attending Aldersgate College, Larry with Carolyn, was ordained as pastor by the Free Methodist Church and began to serve the community of File Hills near Melville Sk. After graduation, they were moved to Wawota, SK. During those nine years the Larson’s began to raise a family while Larry also attended school in Regina, earning his Masters in Theology. In 1992 Larry was assigned to pastor the Crestview FM Church in Winnipeg until he changed careers. He returned to university to pursue a career in psychotherapy. For the past 20 plus years Larry found great satisfaction in assisting many people through his abilities to relate and communicate effectively.
Larry loved life with his family and especially enjoyed camping with them. Fishing and puttering around the house were relaxing pastimes. He read widely and enjoyed a good conversation, particularly when it concerned an opportunity to share his faith in the Lord.
Special thanks to all those who have stood by us during our years of serving and particularly through the last few weeks. Your support and care were so appreciated!!
