Pete (Peter) Marykuca

July 5, 1938 - January 18, 2026

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Pete (Peter) Marykuca. Who passed away peacefully on January 18, 2026 at the age of 87 years with his family by his side.

Predeceased by his parents Stephan and Anne (Nee Zarowski) Marykuca, sister Lillian, brothers Mervin, Benny and Eddy; and his son in law, Rick.

Peter is survived by his beloved wife Cecily (Nagel) of 58 years. Children Robin, Ron (Cindy), Randy (Effie), Regan (Don). Grandchildren Ryan (Katelyn), Kara (Troy), Rachele (Ryan), and Steven (Jazmine). His cherished great grandchildren Emersyn, Presley and Miles. As well as numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.

Born July 5,1938 Peter was proud to be from Winnipeg’s north end where he and his siblings grew up. He worked many years for Parkside Ford where he became well known in the trucking industry. No matter how busy he was he always made time for his family and friends especially when it came to fishing or just being outdoors. The carpentry skills passed down from his father helped him construct his rural home which he enjoyed for many of his later years. Peter was an avid Blue Bomber and Jets fan regardless of their standings.

Thank you for all you did for us dad, you are now “High and Dry”.

As per Peters last wishes a cremation has taken place and a private celebration of life will be scheduled for a later date.
