Johanes (John) Rinckens
June 21, 1957 - February 24, 2026
It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of John Rinckens, who left us peacefully on February 24th, 2026, in Winnipeg, at the age of 68.
John was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Rae Rinckens, and a proud and loving father to Cindy, Tracy, Eric, and Lori. His family was his greatest achievement and his deepest pride.
Born and raised in Winnipeg, John built a life rooted in hard work, loyalty, and quiet strength. As a gourmet bakery manager, he took pride in his work and in providing stability and comfort for his family.
He was a man who believed in making smart financial decisions, planning ahead, and ensuring those he loved were always looked after. At home, John found joy in the simple but meaningful moments — family dinners around the table, and steady conversations about life. He was thoughtful and practical, offering both tough love and steady guidance.
He believed in understanding the difference between needs and wants, and in the power of small actions creating lasting ripples.
He was predeceased by his parents, Rita and Joe Rinckens, and his brother Alex Rinckens.
He is lovingly remembered by his siblings Tim, Chris, Angelina Rinckens, and Josie Roberts, as well as many cherished nieces and nephews. John’s legacy lives on in the strength, independence, and values he instilled in his children. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
A private cremation has been held.
