Robert (Bob) Kenneth Ruppell

November 13, 1950 - January 30, 2026

Bob passed away with family by his side at the Grace Hospital, in Winnipeg at the age of 75 years.

He was predeceased by his mother, Martha Ruppell (DeJong) and his father Robert William Ruppell.

Bob is survived by his loving wife, Debby, of 25 years; children, Renée (Marc), Robert, Richard (Gabriel), Liseanne (Ted) and Carole (Kyle); grandchildren, Zoé (Devin), Jaclynn (Cullen), Shaylyne, Samuel, Desmond, Logan, Jasmyne and Caythan.

Bob was born and raised in the West End of Winnipeg and graduated from Technical Vocational High School (Tech Voc). He went on to have a long career at M.T.S, retiring after 29 years in 1999. Bob was an avid music lover, having a large collection of vinyl records. He taught himself to read sheet music at a young age, could play the piano and the drums, but found his passion in the strings of a guitar.

Bob also loved to read and had a deep affection for animals. He was an extremely intelligent man; there was never a question he didn’t have the answer to.  He had a fondness for dad-jokes and sarcasm, always able to make you laugh no matter the circumstance. He particularly loved imparting his wisdom to his grandchildren, whom he cherished.

The family especially thanks the Winnipeg Fire and Paramedic Service and the doctors, nurses and staff at the Grace Hospital in Winnipeg.

A private cremation has taken place. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Bob’s name to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst way, Winnipeg MB. R3T 0R3
