Sandra Marlene Patricia Lambert

March 6, 1967 - March 8, 2026

Sandra (Sandy) Marlene Patricia Lambert passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, March 8th at the age of 59.

She was predeceased by her mother, Linda Oldfield, and her father, Donald (Barney) Oldfield.

Sandy is survived by her husband, Brad Finnson, children Darryl, Justin, and Brittany (Bryan), and grandchildren Kieran, Maverick, Ellianna and Nicholas. She also leaves behind her three siblings, various cousins, nieces and nephews. 

Sandy was raised in the St. Boniface area of Winnipeg, Manitoba, by her two loving parents Linda and Donald Oldfield. In her younger years, Sandy enjoyed figure skating, going bowling, and playing softball. In her early years as a mother, Sandy ran a home daycare where she raised other children as well as her own children until they attended school. Sandy enjoyed spending her spare time with her children and watching them play sports such as soccer and hockey while they were growing up. Later, Sandy worked many years at The National Bank of Canada and took pride in her achievements there as a Bank Branch Supervisor. More recently, Sandy moved to the town of Riverton where she met a community of friends that quickly became family and briefly worked at the Riverton Motor Inn, despite her ongoing battle with cancer. There, she built many long lasting relationships.   

In her spare time, Sandy especially loved spending time with her grandchildren, who she would spoil with love and who will miss her dearly. Sandy fought hard every moment and cherished every day as if it were her last, and will be remembered by her feisty, giving spirit. 

Sandy’s family would like to thank the IERHA’s Palliative Care team (specifically Nurse Lindsay), the Homecare team, as well as everyone in the Riverton Community who has stepped up to offer help/support; your kindness has not gone unnoticed.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 28th, at 2:00 p.m. at the Riverton Motor Inn. If family and friends so desire, a donation can be made to Never Alone Cancer Foundation at www.nacf.ca.
